Trade Ideas pricing: how much does Trade Ideas cost, and is Trade Ideas worth it
Two tiers, two billing terms, and a free plan, which should make this a simple question. It is not, because the price quoted almost everywhere belongs to the tier that does not include the AI people are shopping for. Here is every number, read off Trade Ideas' own pricing page on August 19, 2026.

In short
Trade Ideas costs $127 or $254 per month month-to-month, or $89 and $178 per month if you pay for a year up front. TI Basic, which most reviews call TI Standard, is $127 monthly or $1,068 a year, and TI Premium is $254 monthly or $2,136 a year. There is also a free plan that gives you one chart and no AI signals. The number that matters more than any of these is which tier holds what. Holly, the AI signal engine that is the main reason people shortlist this product, is on TI Premium only. So are the OddsMaker backtester and the broker-connected automation. TI Basic buys you real-time data, ten charts, paper trading and in-app trading, and none of the AI. This is why the widely repeated "$89 a month" is misleading twice over: it is the annual rate rather than a monthly one, and it is the annual rate on the tier without Holly. If you want the AI, your real entry price is $178 per month billed annually or $254 month-to-month, which is exactly double the figure most comparisons are built on. Paying monthly rather than annually costs about 43% more on both tiers. Whether it is worth it depends on how often you trade. Trade Ideas is priced for someone in the market every session who will use a real-time scanner all day, and at $2,136 a year the Premium tier has to replace real work. If you trade a few times a month, or what you actually want is to test an idea of your own rather than receive someone else's, that is a different purchase, and AgentTrading starts at $19 per month for that one job. SIDE BY SIDE - PRICING CHECKED AUGUST 2026
Every Trade Ideas plan, and which one actually holds the AI
Read off trade-ideas.com/pricing on August 19, 2026. Where two figures appear, the first is the month-to-month rate and the second is the effective monthly rate when you pay for a year up front. Trade Ideas publishes both on the same page, which is the source of nearly every conflicting number you will find in reviews. The limitation column is the part that decides whether a plan can do the thing you are buying it for.
| Tool | Best for | Price (August 2026) | The honest limitation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free plan | Seeing the interface before you commit | $0 | One chart on screen, no AI signals, and most of the platform switched off. |
| TI Basic (The Core) | Traders who want the scanner and nothing else | $127/mo, or $89 annually | No Holly AI, no OddsMaker backtesting, no brokerage automation. The scanner only. |
| TI Premium (The Apex) | Full-time day traders who want the AI and the automation | $254/mo, or $178 annually | The only tier with Holly, the OddsMaker and automation. Holly signals themselves cannot be auto-traded. |
| Annual vs month-to-month | Anyone deciding how to pay rather than what to buy | About 43% more monthly | The annual saving is real and it is paid up front, before you know the platform suits you. |
| Add-ons | Specific indicators and picks on top of a plan | Not published on the pricing page | Listed by name without a public figure, so they have to be priced in the checkout flow. |

Free plan
Seeing the interface before you commit
A real free tier rather than a time-limited trial, and worth ten minutes if you are curious about the layout. What it is not is a way to evaluate the product, because the parts people are actually shopping for are the parts it excludes. One chart at a time and no Holly means you are looking at a shell. Treat it as a demo of the interface, not a demo of the service, and do not let a good first impression of the free plan stand in for testing the tier you would actually pay for.
TI Basic (The Core)
Traders who want the scanner and nothing else
The tier whose price gets quoted everywhere, attached to features it does not have. Confusingly, Trade Ideas' pricing page labels it TI Basic while most reviews and affiliate pages call it TI Standard, so both names refer to the same plan. What you get is the real-time scanner with streaming market data, ten charts, paper trading and in-app trading, which is a genuine product and is what a lot of traders want. What you do not get is the AI. If you read a review that quoted $89 and spent three paragraphs on Holly, that review was pricing one tier and describing another. At $1,068 a year this is a serious subscription for a scanner, and Finviz Elite at $39.50 per month covers a meaningful share of the same ground.
TI Premium (The Apex)
Full-time day traders who want the AI and the automation
This is the real Trade Ideas, and the real price. Premium adds the AI signal engine, the OddsMaker backtester, smart risk levels, the Channel Bar and the RBI and GBI windows, plus broker-connected automation through Brokerage Plus. One detail worth knowing before you buy on the strength of the automation: Holly's own signals cannot be auto-traded. What can be automated is your alert window scans, executed in a sandbox or live through a connected brokerage. At $2,136 a year billed annually, this is a professional expense and should be judged like one. The honest test is whether you would still open the scanner every morning with Holly switched off, because if the answer is no, you are buying the signals rather than the platform, and signals are the part nobody can promise you.
Annual vs month-to-month
Anyone deciding how to pay rather than what to buy
The gap between the two billing terms is unusually wide here, and it is identical in percentage terms on both tiers. Basic is $1,524 a year paid monthly against $1,068 paid annually, a difference of $456. Premium is $3,048 against $2,136, a difference of $912. Trade Ideas displays those savings on the pricing page itself. The trade is the usual one and it is sharper than most: committing for a year saves roughly 30% of the total, and it commits you before you have found out whether a signal firehose fits how you think about the market. Since there is no free trial of the paid tiers, a month or two at the higher rate is the only way to find that out, and $254 twice is cheaper than $2,136 once if the answer turns out to be no.
Add-ons
Specific indicators and picks on top of a plan
Trade Ideas lists a handful of add-ons alongside the plans, including AVWAP, GoNogo and Weekly Swing Picks. As of August 19, 2026 their prices are not shown on the pricing page, which means the total you end up paying is not fully knowable from the published information. We are not going to invent figures for them. The practical advice is to price your plan first, decide whether you need any add-on at all, and then get a number from Trade Ideas directly before you commit to an annual term, because an add-on billed on top of $178 a month changes the comparison you thought you were making.

WHAT YOU GET - TRADE IDEAS PRICING
Trade Ideas pricing, run on the bench
The advertised price is for the tier without the AI
Holly, the OddsMaker backtester and brokerage automation are all TI Premium features. The $89 per month quoted across reviews is the annual rate on TI Basic, which has none of them. Anyone budgeting from that number is out by a factor of two, and the mistake is repeated so widely that it has become the default assumption.
Two published numbers per tier, one product
Trade Ideas shows a month-to-month rate and an annual rate on the same page: $127 and $89 for Basic, $254 and $178 for Premium. Reviews pick whichever they saw. Always check which billing term is attached to any Trade Ideas figure you are comparing against another platform, because the difference is about 43%.
Holly signals cannot be auto-traded
The automation is real but narrower than it sounds. Brokerage Plus can execute your alert window scans in a sandbox or live through a connected broker. Holly's own AI signals are not part of that. If you are paying for Premium mainly to have the AI trade for you, check this specific point with Trade Ideas before you commit to a year.
Where we lose, stated plainly
AgentTrading is not a scanner and does not stream signals. No real-time market scanning, no alerts, no Holly-style idea generation, no brokerage connection, no execution, no intraday bars. We take one idea you can state in a sentence, test it on 20+ years of split- and dividend-adjusted daily data, and stamp a verdict including UNDERPERFORMED. If your workflow is scanning the tape every session, Trade Ideas is the better purchase and we would rather say so.
HOW IT WORKS - 4 STEPS
From a sentence to a stamped verdict
Decide whether you are buying the scanner or the AI
This one question sets your price. The scanner alone is TI Basic at $89 to $127 per month. Holly, the OddsMaker and automation are TI Premium at $178 to $254. There is no middle tier, so there is no way to buy a little of the AI.
Check the billing term on every number you compare
A $89 Trade Ideas plan and a $54 TrendSpider plan are both annual rates. A $127 and a $82 are both month-to-month. Comparing across terms will make one platform look 40% cheaper than it is, which is the most common error in this category.
Price the add-ons before the annual term, not after
AVWAP, GoNogo and Weekly Swing Picks are listed without public prices. Get the figures from Trade Ideas, add them to the tier you picked, and compare that total. An add-on stacked on $178 a month is a different purchase from $178 a month.
Ask what you would do with the subscription paused
A scanner earns its price through frequency. If you would not open it most mornings, the annual commitment is working against you. Test an idea you already have on 20+ years of history first, and find out whether your problem is a shortage of ideas or a shortage of evidence.

On the same bench
If you are weighing the platform rather than the price, the honest side-by-side is on the Trade Ideas alternative page. The backtester that comes with Premium has a specific and rarely mentioned constraint, which does Trade Ideas have backtesting works through in detail. The same AI-costs-extra pattern shows up in a different shape in TrendSpider pricing, where the assistant bills on its own meter, and the whole field including the free options your broker may already include is compared on backtesting software. For the wider budget question, how much stock analysis software costs explains why one category spans $19 to $399 a month. If the AI signals are the draw, AI day trading covers what those engines can and cannot do, and are AI trading bots profitable answers the question underneath it. Plans start at $19 a month.
QUESTIONS - ASKED AND ANSWERED
Trade Ideas pricing: the common questions
How much does Trade Ideas cost?
Trade Ideas costs $127 per month for TI Basic and $254 per month for TI Premium month-to-month, or $89 and $178 per month respectively when billed annually, which works out to $1,068 and $2,136 a year. There is also a free plan limited to one chart with no AI signals. Read off Trade Ideas' pricing page on August 19, 2026.
How much is Trade Ideas per month?
The cheapest paid way in is $89 per month for TI Basic billed annually, and the most expensive is $254 per month for TI Premium paid month-to-month. Most people shopping for the AI end up on Premium at $178 to $254 per month, because Holly is not available on the cheaper tier at any billing term.
Is Holly AI included in the Trade Ideas Basic plan?
No. Holly, the AI signal engine, is on TI Premium only, along with the OddsMaker backtester and the broker-connected automation. TI Basic gives you the real-time scanner, streaming data, ten charts, paper trading and in-app trading without the AI. Most reviews quote the Basic price and describe the Premium features, which is the single most common error written about this product.
Is Trade Ideas worth it?
It is worth it for a full-time, active day trader who will use a real-time scanner every session and can evaluate signals independently. At $2,136 a year for Premium it has to replace real work or prevent a real mistake. It is poor value for anyone who trades a few times a month, and a bad fit for anyone hoping the signals will substitute for a strategy of their own.
Does Trade Ideas have a free trial?
There is no free trial of the paid tiers. Trade Ideas offers a free plan instead, limited to one chart on screen with no AI signals and most premium features switched off, which shows you the interface rather than the service. In practice, evaluating Trade Ideas properly means paying for a month at the month-to-month rate of $127 or $254.
Is Trade Ideas free?
There is a free plan, but it excludes AI signals and limits you to a single chart, so it is not a usable version of the product. The lowest ongoing cost for the real platform is $89 per month for TI Basic billed annually, and the lowest cost for the AI is $178 per month for TI Premium billed annually. If you want a genuinely free way to test a rule, QuantConnect offers unlimited backtests on its free tier if you can code, and Fidelity and TradeStation include strategy testing with a funded account.
Why do reviews quote $89 for Trade Ideas?
Because Trade Ideas publishes two prices for the same tier and $89 is the smaller one. It is the effective monthly rate for TI Basic when you pay $1,068 for a full year up front, not a month-to-month price, and TI Basic does not include Holly. Reviews that pair the $89 figure with a description of the AI are quoting one plan and describing another.
Which Trade Ideas plan do I need for backtesting?
TI Premium. The OddsMaker backtester is not available on TI Basic or the free plan, so the entry price for any backtesting inside Trade Ideas is $178 per month billed annually or $254 month-to-month. It is also worth understanding what the OddsMaker tests before you buy for it, because its history window is measured in weeks rather than years.
Can you cancel Trade Ideas monthly?
Yes, both tiers are available month-to-month at the higher price of $127 and $254. That flexibility costs about 43% more than committing for a year. Given there is no free trial of the paid tiers, one or two months at the monthly rate is a reasonable way to find out whether the platform suits you before you commit $1,068 or $2,136 up front.
Is Trade Ideas cheaper than TrendSpider?
No, TrendSpider is cheaper at every comparable point. TrendSpider runs $59 to $349 per month across four tiers against $89 to $254 across two for Trade Ideas, and TrendSpider includes backtesting on every tier while Trade Ideas restricts it to Premium. The counterweight is that they are different products: Trade Ideas is a real-time scanner with an AI signal engine, and TrendSpider is a charting and analysis platform. Note that TrendSpider meters its own AI assistant separately, so the AI-costs-extra pattern applies to both.
