Composer pricing and cost of the Starter, Advanced, Pro and Business plans
Composer sells four plans. Starter is $0 and automates one strategy, Advanced is $10 a month, Pro is $32 a month billed yearly at $384, and Business is quoted on a call. The caps that decide which plan you need are strategies and nodes, not backtests, which are unlimited on every plan we read.

EVERY PRICE AND CAP, AS THE COMPOSER PRICING PAGE PRINTS IT
Composer pricing as Composer states it, and what it means for your bill
Every row is taken from the Composer pricing page. Where we computed a figure it is marked as our arithmetic.
| Question a buyer asks | What the source states | Where it is stated | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|---|
| Is Composer free? | Starter "$0", 1 automated strategy, up to 200 nodes, unlimited backtesting in the no-code editor | Pricing page | You can build and test without paying, and pay only when you need more than one live strategy. |
| How much is Advanced? | "$10/mo." with up to 5 automated strategies and 350 nodes | Pricing page | $120 for twelve months at the monthly rate (our arithmetic). |
| How much is Pro? | "$32/mo." billed yearly, "$384/yr." | Pricing page | $384 is paid as one yearly charge, 12 times $32 (our arithmetic). |
| What does Pro add that matters? | Up to 10,000 nodes, full API access, manual overrides, earlier trade timing | Pricing page | Pro is the plan for large or fast-rotating strategies, not for a first automation. |
| Is there a Business price? | "Book a call" | Pricing page | No public figure, so budget from a quote. |
| Are there fees on top? | FINRA and SEC regulatory fees apply to securities sales, full list in the fee schedule | Pricing page | Sales carry small regulatory charges on top of the subscription. |
| Is backtesting capped? | Unlimited backtesting is listed on Starter | Pricing page | The cap you hit first is strategies and nodes, not tests. |

On the same bench
Composer is a no-code platform for building rules-based portfolio strategies in a visual editor and running them automatically through its own brokerage arm. Its pricing is built on how big and how many your strategies are, which is unusual in this category and the reason many buyers pick the wrong plan. We read the live pricing page on November 6, 2026, and the figures below are quoted from it. Composer's full terms are covered in our Composer review.
What each Composer plan costs
| Plan | Price shown | Strategy and node limits | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $0 | 1 automated strategy, up to 200 nodes | Unlimited backtesting in the no-code editor, Trade with AI, save, watch and share strategies |
| Advanced | $10 a month, no annual price listed | Up to 5 automated strategies, up to 350 nodes | Everything in Starter, more weekly Trade with AI usage, small-portfolio diversification |
| Pro | $32 a month billed yearly, or $384 a year | Up to 500 automated strategies, up to 10,000 nodes | Everything in Advanced, the most Trade with AI usage, full API access, manual overrides, earlier trade timing, priority support |
| Business | Not listed, book a call | Up to 15,000 nodes | Mark-to-market accounting, full ownership of strategy IP, API access, real-time data-driven portfolio management, priority support |
A node is one block in a strategy's decision tree, so a simple allocation rule uses a handful and a rotation across many assets uses hundreds. That is why a plan that looks cheap can run out of room on the first ambitious strategy.
What Composer pricing does not include
The page says FINRA and SEC regulatory fees apply to securities sales and points to a separate fee schedule. The subscription is therefore not the whole cost of running a strategy. Pro is shown billed yearly, and Advanced shows no annual price, so a buyer comparing the two should confirm the billing period at checkout. The page also prints a referral offer of $100 for you and $50 for the friend, subject to the referral terms.
Where AgentTrading fits
Composer builds a strategy and then trades it. AgentTrading answers the question that comes before that purchase: has this rule paid across 20+ years of adjusted daily data once costs are charged on every trade, and did it beat buy and hold. Starter is $49 a month or $288 a year, and options rules run on options backtesting on the Analyst plan at $99 a month. We place no orders and hold no money. If you are weighing Composer against a tester, read the Composer alternative comparison, and for the wider price picture see how much stock analysis software costs.
QUESTIONS - ASKED AND ANSWERED
Composer pricing questions and answers
How much does Composer cost?
Composer Starter is $0, Advanced is $10 a month, and Pro is $32 a month billed yearly at $384. Business has no public price and is quoted on a call. Plans differ by the number of automated strategies and nodes. FINRA and SEC regulatory fees apply to securities sales. Prices were read at source on November 6, 2026.
Is Composer free?
Yes, at the Starter level. Starter is $0 and includes one automated strategy up to 200 nodes, unlimited backtesting in the no-code editor, Trade with AI, and the ability to save, watch and share strategies. You pay once you need more live strategies or larger ones.
Is Composer Pro worth it?
Pro at $32 a month billed yearly is worth it for a large or fast-moving strategy that needs more than 350 nodes, API access, manual overrides or earlier trade timing. For one simple allocation rule, Starter or Advanced is enough. Test the rule on history first so you pay for a strategy that has worked.
What is a node in Composer?
A node is one block in a strategy's decision tree, such as a condition, a filter or an asset. Plans cap nodes at 200 on Starter, 350 on Advanced, 10,000 on Pro and 15,000 on Business, so bigger and more complex strategies need a higher plan.
Does Composer charge fees on top of the subscription?
Yes. The pricing page says FINRA and SEC regulatory fees apply to securities sales and points to a full fee schedule. These are small per-sale charges and they sit on top of the plan price, so they matter most for strategies that rebalance often.
Does AgentTrading replace Composer?
No. AgentTrading is not a broker and places no orders, so it cannot run a strategy for you. It tests a stock or options rule on 20+ years of adjusted daily data with costs and returns a plain verdict against buy and hold. Many investors test a rule here before automating it elsewhere.
