Koyfin pricing: how much is Koyfin per month, what a Koyfin subscription costs, and Koyfin Premium vs Plus

Five plans, two billing terms, and one detail that costs Premium buyers $372 a year if they miss it. Koyfin publishes a clean, honest price list, then publishes a separate guide for AI assistants that quotes only the annual rate. Every figure below was read off koyfin.com on August 20, 2026, including the month-to-month numbers Koyfin does not display until you flip a toggle. We re-read the published annual rates on September 10, 2026, and none of them had changed.

In short

Koyfin costs $0 on the Free plan, $39 per month for Plus, $79 for Premium, $209 for Advisor Core and $299 for Advisor Pro, all billed annually. Month to month the same plans cost $49, $110, $239 and $349. Teams pricing is custom. Those annual figures are the ones Koyfin puts on its pricing page by default, and they are the only ones that appear in Koyfin's own guide for AI assistants at koyfin.com/pricing-llm-info, which was last updated on July 27, 2026. That matters because Koyfin places Ask ChatGPT, Ask Claude and Ask Gemini buttons on its pricing page. Ask any of them what Koyfin Premium costs and you will be told $79 a month. Pay month to month and it is $110, about 39% more, which is $372 a year on one subscription. The gap on Plus is smaller at $49 against $39, roughly 26%, or $120 a year. Advisor Core and Advisor Pro run 14% and 17% higher monthly. Koyfin summarizes all of this as save up to 30% with an annual plan, and Premium at 28.2% off is where that up-to figure comes from. There is no free trial of a paid tier. Instead there is a genuinely usable Free plan and a 30-day money-back guarantee: Koyfin states that if you are not satisfied within 30 days it will issue a full refund. In practice that makes a monthly Premium subscription a $110 refundable trial, which is the least-quoted useful fact on the whole pricing page. Which plan you need is mostly settled by two questions. Plus at $39 covers stock and ETF research, ten years of financials and estimates, unlimited watchlists and screens, filings and transcripts. Premium at $79 adds portfolio risk statistics, hypothetical performance, short positions, and unlimited custom formulas and data. If you use Koyfin's numbers, you want Plus. If you build your own calculations on top of them, you want Premium. Is Koyfin worth it? For fundamentals, charting and research workflows on a global universe, it is one of the better values in the category and undercuts every institutional terminal by an order of magnitude. It has no backtesting engine, so it will not tell you what a rule would have returned. AgentTrading starts at $19 a month and does that other job: one thesis you can state in a sentence, tested against 20+ years of split and dividend adjusted daily data, with a verdict that includes UNDERPERFORMED. Prices change, so check koyfin.com before you buy. Educational analysis only, and past performance does not guarantee future results.

SIDE BY SIDE - PRICING CHECKED AUGUST 2026

Every Koyfin plan, both billing terms, and what each one is missing

Read off koyfin.com/pricing and koyfin.com/pricing/plans-comparison on August 20, 2026. The annual rate is the one Koyfin shows first and the one every review quotes. The month-to-month rate sits in the page markup behind the billing toggle, so text scrapers and AI assistants generally never see it. Both are listed below. The limitation column is the part that decides whether a plan does the job you are buying it for.

Tool Best for Price (August 2026) The honest limitation
Koyfin Free Following markets and researching a handful of names you already own $0 Two years of financials, one year of estimates, 2 watchlists, 2 screens, 2 dashboards, one portfolio account, no ETF data.
Koyfin Plus Individual investors doing regular fundamental research on stocks and ETFs $39/mo billed annually, $49/mo month to month Custom formulas and custom data series are capped. No portfolio risk statistics, no short positions, no hypothetical performance.
Koyfin Premium Analysts and investors who build their own calculations on top of the data $79/mo billed annually, $110/mo month to month The widest monthly premium of any tier at about 39%, and it is still not a backtester.
Koyfin Advisor Core A solo advisor on one custodian producing a small number of client reports $209/mo billed annually, $239/mo month to month One custodian integration, 10 client proposals and reports per month, no PMS integration, no PDF statement upload.
Koyfin Advisor Pro Advisory firms running multiple custodians, a PMS, or winning clients with proposals $299/mo billed annually, $349/mo month to month Still a per-user subscription. Three or more people means Teams and a sales conversation.
Koyfin Teams Three or more users who need different plans under one account Custom, contact sales No published price, so you cannot budget it from the website. Expect a sales cycle.

Koyfin Free

Following markets and researching a handful of names you already own

Better than most free tiers and worth taking seriously before you pay for anything. You get advanced charting, macro and market dashboards, a stock screener and portfolio tracking on one account. The ceilings are real though, and they are the ones that push people to Plus: two years of financial history is not enough to judge a business, dividend and analyst coverage on Free is limited to the S&P 500, and there is no ETF data or ETF screener at all. If you hold ETFs, Free cannot do your research. If you hold five US large caps and want a good chart and a macro dashboard, it may genuinely be the whole answer.

Koyfin Plus

Individual investors doing regular fundamental research on stocks and ETFs

This is the plan most individual investors end up on, and Koyfin says so itself. The jump from Free is large and specific: ten years of financials and ten years of analyst estimates instead of two and one, ETF holdings and an ETF screener, unlimited watchlists, screens and custom dashboards, snapshots on more than 100,000 global companies, plus press releases, filings, earnings transcripts and premium news. Price and valuation alerts are included. Annual costs $468 against $588 paid monthly, so the flexibility premium is $120 a year, about 26%. That is a normal gap for this category and smaller than most.

Koyfin Premium

Analysts and investors who build their own calculations on top of the data

Premium adds unlimited custom formulas and custom data series, custom financial templates, ETF valuation, and the portfolio analytics that Plus does not carry: risk statistics, hypothetical performance, short position support, and alerts on watchlists and portfolios. The dividing line Koyfin draws is whether you use its numbers or build on top of them, and that is the right way to think about it rather than counting how often you trade. Watch the billing term here more than anywhere else on this page. $948 a year annually against $1,320 paid monthly is a $372 difference for the identical product, the largest gap in the lineup and the number nobody quotes. Note also what hypothetical performance is not: it models a change to an allocation you hold, not a rule executed across two decades of history.

Koyfin Advisor Core

A solo advisor on one custodian producing a small number of client reports

The entry point for advisory work, and the price step from Premium is the steepest on the page: $79 to $209 is a 2.6x jump. What you are buying is not more research, it is client infrastructure. Model portfolios, client portfolios, branded client proposals and reports, one custodian connection, and US and Canadian mutual fund data with a mutual fund screener. The two ceilings that push firms up to Pro are the single custodian and the 10 reports a month. If any client sits at a second custodian, Core cannot keep that book current in one workflow, and Koyfin says as much. Firms under $100m AUM should ask about the small firm discount before paying list.

Koyfin Advisor Pro

Advisory firms running multiple custodians, a PMS, or winning clients with proposals

Koyfin states that most firms choose Pro, and the $90 a month step over Core buys the things a real practice hits quickly: multiple custodian integrations at once, 200 client proposals and reports a month instead of 10, custom report pages, PDF broker statement upload, US SMAs, short and leveraged model portfolios, priority support, and PMS integrations with Black Diamond, Addepar and Orion. The PDF statement upload is the underrated one for new business, because it lets you analyze a prospect's current holdings and build a proposal before any assets transfer. $3,588 a year annually against $4,188 monthly.

Koyfin Teams

Three or more users who need different plans under one account

Teams exists so an organization can assign each person the plan their role needs, for example analysts on Premium and advisors on Advisor Pro, under shared billing with single sign-on and admin purchasing. Koyfin names three or more users as the threshold. Because nothing is published, treat any Teams figure you find in a review as unsourced. Two things are worth raising on the call: Koyfin advertises a major discount for growing advisory firms under $100m in AUM, and it runs a separate program for schools and universities. Neither is priced publicly either, and neither gets mentioned in the reviews that quote the $299 headline.

WHAT YOU GET - KOYFIN PRICING

Koyfin pricing, run on the bench

The monthly price is not the price you were quoted

Koyfin displays annual rates by default: $39 for Plus, $79 for Premium, $209 and $299 for the advisor tiers. Month to month those same plans are $49, $110, $239 and $349. Premium is the outlier at about 39% more, which is $372 a year for the same software. Decide the billing term deliberately, because on this page drifting onto monthly is the most expensive thing you can do without noticing.

Koyfin's guide for AI assistants quotes only the annual rate

Koyfin publishes a pricing guide written for language models at koyfin.com/pricing-llm-info, last updated July 27, 2026, and puts Ask ChatGPT, Ask Claude and Ask Gemini buttons on its pricing page. That guide lists every plan as billed annually and never states a month-to-month figure. Ask an assistant what Premium costs and the honest answer it can give you is $79. We checked the page source: the real monthly numbers sit in a data attribute behind the billing toggle the entire time.

There is no free trial, but there is a 30-day refund

Most reviews report no trial and stop there. Koyfin's own pricing FAQ says it has a 100% satisfaction guarantee and will issue a full refund if you tell it within 30 days. That reframes the decision: a single month of Premium at $110 is effectively a refundable 30-day trial of the top individual tier, which is longer than the 7 days Finviz gives you and does not auto-convert into an annual commitment.

Where we lose, stated plainly

AgentTrading is not a data terminal. No charting, no screener, no macro dashboards, no filings, no transcripts, no client reporting, no custodian integrations. If your job is researching companies across a global universe, Koyfin does that far better than we do. We take one idea you can state in a sentence, test it against 20+ years of split and dividend adjusted daily data, and stamp a verdict. Koyfin tells you what a company looks like today. We tell you what a rule did for twenty years. Plenty of people pay for both.

HOW IT WORKS - 4 STEPS

From a sentence to a stamped verdict

01

Answer the Plus or Premium question first, because it is most of the decision

Koyfin draws the line at whether you use its numbers or build your own on top of them. Ten years of financials, estimates, filings, transcripts, ETF data and unlimited screens are all on Plus at $39. Premium at $79 adds unlimited custom formulas and custom data, plus portfolio risk statistics, hypothetical performance and short positions. If you have never wanted to write your own metric, Plus is the plan and Premium is $480 a year you do not need.

02

Start monthly and use the 30-day guarantee as your trial

There is no free trial of a paid tier, so the practical substitute is one month billed monthly with the refund policy as your backstop. Yes, that month costs $49 or $110 rather than the annual rate. It also buys you a full 30 days to find out whether Koyfin fits your week, with a stated full refund if it does not, and no twelve months on the card while you decide.

03

Switch to annual once, deliberately, and check what it saves

Koyfin applies any remaining monthly balance to the annual plan at checkout, so switching is not penalized. The savings are not uniform: $120 a year on Plus, $372 on Premium, $360 on Advisor Core, $600 on Advisor Pro. Premium has the widest gap in the lineup, so if you are on Premium monthly and you know you are staying, switching pays for itself in under four months.

04

Separate researching a company from testing a rule

Koyfin will show you ten years of a company's financials, its estimates, its filings and where it screens against peers. It will not tell you whether buying stocks that look like that has worked over the last two decades, because it has no backtesting engine at any tier. When your research produces a repeatable rule, take that rule somewhere that can run it across 20+ years of adjusted daily data and report the drawdown alongside the return.

On the same bench

If the question is which tool rather than which tier, the honest side-by-side sits on the Koyfin alternative page, and the capability Koyfin does not have at any price is covered in does Koyfin have backtesting. In the same pricing lane, Finviz pricing is the closest comparison at $24.96 a month for a screener, TrendSpider pricing shows a vendor metering its AI on a separate invoice, and Trade Ideas pricing shows the tier trap where the advertised rate belongs to the plan without the AI. For the wider budget question, how much stock analysis software costs explains why one category spans $19 to $399 a month. Koyfin hands you fundamentals and a screen; what it will not tell you is whether the rules behind that screen ever made money, which is a separate job: one name goes through stock backtesting, a basket through portfolio backtesting, ETF sleeves through ETF backtesting, and is backtesting accurate sets expectations before you trust any of it. Advisors comparing research stacks should also read tools for financial advisors. The vendor most often weighed against Koyfin publishes no rate card at all, which YCharts pricing reconstructs from its own plans page, and Koyfin vs YCharts for financial advisors sets the published ladder against the unpublished one. Plans start at $19 a month.

QUESTIONS - ASKED AND ANSWERED

Koyfin pricing: the common questions

How much does Koyfin cost?

Koyfin costs $0 for the Free plan, $39 a month for Plus, $79 for Premium, $209 for Advisor Core and $299 for Advisor Pro when billed annually. Paying month to month those plans are $49, $110, $239 and $349. Teams pricing is custom and not published. Read off koyfin.com on August 20, 2026.

How much is Koyfin per month?

It depends on the billing term, and the difference is larger than most people expect. Billed annually, Plus is $39 a month and Premium is $79. Billed month to month, Plus is $49 and Premium is $110, so monthly Premium costs about 39% more than the rate Koyfin advertises. Over a year that is $1,320 against $948, a difference of $372 for identical software.

What is the difference between Koyfin Plus and Premium?

Plus at $39 a month covers researching companies: ten years of financials and estimates, ETF holdings and an ETF screener, unlimited watchlists, screens and dashboards, filings, transcripts and premium news. Premium at $79 adds things you build yourself, namely unlimited custom formulas and custom data series and custom financial templates, plus portfolio risk statistics, hypothetical performance, short positions and alerts on watchlists and portfolios. Koyfin says most individual investors are on Plus.

Is Koyfin worth it?

For fundamental research, charting and screening across a global universe, Koyfin at $39 a month is one of the better values in this category, and it does a job that would otherwise cost you an institutional terminal subscription. It is not worth it if what you need is real-time day trading data, options analytics or backtesting, none of which Koyfin does. The cleanest way to find out is one month billed monthly, with the 30-day refund policy as your safety net.

Is Koyfin free?

There is a real free plan, not a trial. It includes advanced charting, market and macro dashboards, a stock screener, portfolio tracking on one account, and two years of financials with one year of estimates. The limits that matter: no ETF data or ETF screener at all, only two watchlists, two screens and two custom dashboards, and dividend and analyst coverage restricted to the S&P 500. For a US large cap investor watching a short list, it is genuinely usable.

Does Koyfin have a free trial?

No, Koyfin does not offer a free trial of its paid tiers. What it offers instead is the free plan and a 30-day money-back guarantee. Koyfin's pricing FAQ states that if for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can tell it within 30 days and it will issue a full refund. A single month of Plus at $49 or Premium at $110 therefore functions as a refundable 30-day trial.

How much is Koyfin Premium?

Koyfin Premium is $79 a month billed annually, which is $948 for the year, or $110 a month if you pay month to month, which is $1,320 across a year. The $79 figure is the one on Koyfin's pricing page by default and the only one in its own AI-facing pricing guide, so it is the number most reviews and most assistants will quote you. The $31 a month difference is the widest of any Koyfin tier.

Does Koyfin cost money for advisors?

Yes, and the step up is significant. Advisor Core is $209 a month billed annually or $239 monthly, and covers model portfolios, client portfolios, branded reports capped at 10 a month and a single custodian integration. Advisor Pro is $299 or $349 and adds multiple custodians, 200 reports a month, custom report pages, PDF broker statement upload, US SMAs and PMS integrations with Black Diamond, Addepar and Orion. Koyfin also advertises a discount for advisory firms under $100m in AUM, which is not priced publicly.

Does Koyfin have backtesting?

No. Koyfin has no backtesting engine on any plan. Premium includes hypothetical performance for portfolios, which models what a change to an allocation you hold would have done, and that gets mistaken for backtesting fairly often. It is not the same thing as running an entry and exit rule across twenty years of daily history and reporting the drawdown, win rate and benchmark comparison. If you need that, it is a different tool.

Is Koyfin cheaper than Bloomberg or a terminal subscription?

By a wide margin, and that gap is the reason Koyfin exists. A Bloomberg Terminal seat is a five-figure annual commitment, while Koyfin Premium is $948 a year and Advisor Pro is $3,588. What you give up is depth in fixed income, derivatives, chat and the messaging network that terminal users actually pay for. For equity and ETF fundamentals, estimates, filings and charting, Koyfin covers most of what an individual investor or a small advisory firm needs at a small fraction of the price.
