Refund policy
Effective October 14, 2026
Think of an AgentTrading charge the way you would think of a data terminal seat: once a billing period is paid, it is spent. We do not hand money back for a period that has started, apart from the three cases in the section called "Where we do return a charge". The free demo on the home page lets you run a thesis through the real research bench before you pay, and turning off renewal takes a few clicks in your account.
What a subscription buys
Every AgentTrading plan is a monthly or yearly subscription to the research bench, with the thesis, backtest and seat limits set out on the pricing page. The fee pays for having the bench available for the whole period. It is not a price per backtest or per report, and the full period opens the moment the payment clears, whether you test one idea or a hundred.
Subscribing is a request to open the bench straight away. Where the law would give you a cooling-off or withdrawal window, you agree that it closes once the bench has been opened for you.
Cancelling and renewals
Plans renew on their own until you switch renewal off in your account. You do not need to write to anyone. Switching it off stops every later renewal right away, and the bench stays open to you until the paid period runs out. There is no pro-rated credit for the days left, and cancelling is never treated as a request for money back.
A new period, and the charge for it, starts on the renewal date shown in your account. If your card is declined that day, the invoice is still owed and our payment operator tries the card again over the next few days. Those attempts collect the same open invoice; they are not extra charges. Cancelling while an invoice is open turns off future periods but leaves the open one payable, and that renewal is not refunded. To avoid a renewal, cancel before the date in your account.
Where we do return a charge
Money goes back only in one of these three cases, only when our records bear it out, and never for more than the affected charge:
- You were billed twice. A billing fault on our side took two payments for one period.
- A stranger paid with your card. You flag it to us no more than 14 days after the charge, and both the login history and the transaction data point away from you. Your statement starts the check, the data settles it, and we may ask whether your bank has already been notified.
- The bench did not work at all. A fault on our side, which we confirmed, kept the whole of AgentTrading down without interruption, you alerted us during the outage, and our team failed to restore it. Slow runs, a single failing feature, or trouble with your own browser, network or device do not qualify.
An approved refund is the whole of our liability for that charge, is capped at what you paid for the affected period, and is sent only to the card it came from. One approved refund does not entitle you to another.
Reasons that never lead to a refund
- You changed your mind, closed the position you were researching, or no longer need a backtesting tool.
- You barely used the bench, or did not use it at all, during a paid period.
- A renewal went through, including one collected after earlier failed attempts.
- You forgot to cancel before the renewal date, or cancelled just after it.
- A backtest verdict, risk explanation or fundamentals summary you disagree with, or a strategy that later lost money. AgentTrading describes how a rule behaved in past markets; it never promises future results.
- A ticker, asset class, data depth or feature that the pricing page does not list, or that behaves differently from what you pictured.
- Picking the wrong plan, the wrong billing period or too many seats.
- Activity by anyone you shared your login with.
How to ask
Send a note to [email protected] using your account email, at most 14 days after the charge, with the amount, the date and the case you are invoking. Anything sent later or through another channel stays unanswered. Notes are handled first come, first served, with no guaranteed turnaround, and a rejection is final.
Going to your bank for a chargeback without first writing to us breaches our Terms of Service and the account is closed for good.
What we keep on file
When you open an AgentTrading account you agree to the Terms of Service (which contain the rules on this page) and to the Privacy Policy. Before your card is touched, checkout spells out the plan, the price, the period and the fact that it renews; the receipt email and your settings say it again.
Per subscription we retain when it was bought, which plan and price checkout displayed, your consent to the terms, the emails sent to you, and the account trail: logins, theses typed in and backtests launched, each stamped with its technical data. Separately, the payment operator logs every charge with the country of the issuing bank, the place the payment originated and what 3D Secure returned. A claim that a charge was not yours is weighed against that trail, and in a chargeback the same trail goes to the issuing bank.
Subscriptions bought earlier
Subscriptions started before October 14, 2026 keep the refund rules that were on this site the day they were bought.
